摘要: Mechanical lithotripsy (ML) is usually considered as a standard treatment option for large bile duct stones. However, it impossible to retrieve oversized stones because the conventional basket may not be able grasp stone. there no established endoscopic extraction method such giant stone removal. We describe case of successful 4-cm using gastric bezoar basket. A 78-year-old woman had suffered from upper abdominal pain 20 d. Contrast-enhanced computed tomogram revealed single in distal common (CBD). Endoscopic retraction was decided upon and papillary balloon dilation performed balloon. An attempt capture failed due size. Subsequently, we used successfully The fragmented into small pieces extracted. completely removed after two sessions retrograde cholangiopancreatography; each which took 30 min. No complications occurred during or procedure. patient fully recovered discharged on day 11 hospitalization. ML safe effective retrieval select cases, an alternative nonoperative management difficult CBD
