摘要: Previous studies have shown that biomarkers of chemicals with long half-lives may be better surrogates exposure for epidemiological analyses, leading to less attenuation the exposure-disease association, than personal air samples. However, short inconsistent results. In present study, we compared pairs benzene and its short-half-life urinary metabolite trans,trans-muconic acid (t,t-MA), predicted bias theoretical association. Total 669 urine t,t-MA samples were taken from 474 male workers during turnaround maintenance operations held in seven petrochemical plants. Maintenance jobs classified into 13 groups. Variance components calculated separately estimate Personal showed similar Analyses repeated measurements results, while analyses values above limits detection (LODs), association benzene. Our findings suggest there no significant difference when or is used as a surrogate exposure.
