摘要: Temporal masking effects on brainstem evoked responses (BERs) were studied in normal human newborns and adults. Forward prolonged the latencies of newborn BERs significantly longer than adult BERs. The effect backward BER for both adults was small, suggesting that either these stimuli are mediated by structures rostral to or does not affect latency BER. Increasing duration forward masker more intensity adults, however, there no significant age-intensity interactions.
