Review of UK Porous Asphalt Trials

摘要: Porous asphalt as a road surfacing material has been under investigation by TRL since 1967 and is now included in the Specification for Highway Works Design Manual Roads Bridges published Department of Transport other Overseeing Departments UK trunks roads. The experience gained from extensive trials reviewed recommendations are derived to assist those involved design, manufacture application porous asphalt, particularly with 20 mm nominal aggregate grading. interpreted terms design construction layers; properties that can be achieved material; maintenance implications its use. have shown durable if it properly designed constructed laid on suitable sites.
