摘要: Patients with metastatic or advanced cancer are likely to be particularly susceptible financial hardship for reasons related both the characteristics of disease and population living disease. First, is a resource-intensive condition expensive treatment consistent, high-intensity monitoring. Second, patients diagnosed disproportionately uninsured low income from racial ethnic minority groups. These vulnerable subpopulations have higher burden even in earlier stages illness, potentially resulting fewer asset reserves, nonexisting less generous health insurance benefits, employment jobs flexibility protections. This combination high need vulnerability makes those an important additional study. In this article, we summarize why toxicity burdensome disease; review prior work settings specifically; close implications recommendations research, practice, policy.
