摘要: From three-dimensional reconstructions of CA1 excitatory synapses in the rodent hippocampus and culture, we have estimated statistical distributions active zone postsynaptic density (PSD) sizes (average area approximately 0.04 micron2), number zones per bouton (usually one), docked vesicles (approximately 10), total 200), determined relationships between these quantities, all which vary from synapse to but are highly correlated. These measurements been related synaptic physiology. In particular, propose that distribution areas can account for release probabilities each constitutes a site as identified standard quantal theory attributable Katz (1969).
