Toward a Communication Model for the Socialization of Voluntary Members

摘要: Because most socialization/assimilation research focuses on employment as the primary membership role in groups and organizations, accompanying models have failed to consider unique characteristics of voluntary membership. In addition, those been criticized for being too linear based concepts organizations containers. Using principles bona fide group perspective a case study, this paper develops model that emphasizes socialization members. The multilevel also examines how various other groups, such work family, influence interact with individuals’ memberships. With focus communication, fluid process associations ambiguous boundaries.
