摘要: Abstract Two different chemical treatments were performed on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), namely functionalization, and shortening-functionalization processes. Then, nickel–MWCNTs coatings co-electrodeposited. The results showed that the chemically shortened behaved as inert particles, embedded into nickel matrix, whilst long functionalized metallic behavior during electrodeposition, they incorporated matrix. In similar plating condition, amount of co-deposited was more than elongated ones. Furthermore, it revealed pretreatment significantly affected microstructure, surface morphology, hardness corrosion resistance deposited coatings.
