摘要: Using analyses of individuals, dry weight, RNA, DNA and protein content were measured on the same samples to assess nutritional status laboratory-reared larvae juveniles Solea solea (L.). During early life S. solea, 2 growth periods could be distinguished by weight measurements biochemical composition analysis. After metamorphosis, per individual increased more slowly than before metamorphosis. strongly positively correlated fed larvae. Starvation led immediate loss decrease in RNA content, while amount remained roughly constant. Percentage relative was always lower starved or ones. percentages decreased after but higher fish. The RNA:DNA ratio continuously during starvation used discriminate starving from feeding a few days. However, showed relatively large fluctuations larval development, its dependent upon ontogenetic stage. increase also developmental stage larvae, much stable juveniles. can define critical levels (3 % 1.5 it) above which are undergoing starvation. usefulness percentage as indices condition is discussed.
