摘要: Regulation of gamma-aminobutyric acid A (GABAA)-receptor-mediated inhibition is important for the control neuronal excitability in brain. Decreases facilitate induction long-term potentiation (LTP) (Wigstrom and Gustafsson, 1983) depression (LTD) (Wagner Alger, 1995; Bear Abraham, 1996). However, if pronounced magnitude or duration, decreases GABAAergic can cause various pathophysiological conditions such as epileptic seizures (Meldrum, 1975) excitotoxicity (Thompson et al., physiologically useful type inhibitory modulation might be one which regulation specific influences would limited time space.
