摘要: A 43-year-old male had cancer of the right lung which invaded 2nd to 4th ribs. After upper lobectomy and combined resection chest wall, 3rd ribs were reconstructed using titanium hollow screw reconstruction plates (THORP). THORP completely prevented postoperative paradoxical respiration. The course was satisfactory. Postoperatively radiation therapy performed, patient is now alive, without recurrence, 7 months after surgery. simple eminently applicable in reconstructing large wall.
