Combined telephone PBX and computer data router with pooled resources

摘要: System resources are pooled and allocated in an optimal manner to handling telephone voice traffic or computer data traffic. A combination of mechanisms is used achieve higher statistical multiplexing on a network interface by dynamically adjusting the multiplexing. The system: 1) Provides homogeneous access DS0 trunk resource both traffic, resulting larger pool. 2) Partially normalizes class service characteristics make it more predictable can adjust bandwidth such that requests for be honored with success rate, 3) Maintains multiple qualities streams drawing from single Data normalized into flows, each which has assigned priority allocation flows.
