摘要: In this study we investigate the role of song in social behavior a cooperatively living songbird, Australian magpie, Gymnorhina ticbicen (Cracticidae). species, kin and nonkin cooperative territorial groups exist same population. We sampled vocal repertoire 23 magpies six nonterritorial flock. Groups were located on two farms 2-3 km apart. This paper is second part paper. Part I, described song, syllable repertoires; compared sharing within among groups. Our results II include: 1. Local geographic patterns sharing. found average percentage shared between all pairwise combinations birds to be lowest for different localities, intermediate locality who are not neighbors, highest group mates or neighbors (p 0.79, Mann-Whitney rank sum test) than by opposite sex, when known sex considered. However, considered only, did share significantly (p<0.008) larger their with sex. 3. Sources imitation. To determine sources imitation, calculated proportion focal bird's that classes birds. Birds more syllables exclusively they complex other (p<0.001, G test association). From these data, discuss imitation learning, timing setting functions song. conclude through may function affiliation defense
