摘要: Three commercial systems for the identification of non-enteric gram-negative rods were compared with conventional bacteriological methods as reference. The three API 20 NE, BIO-TEST ID-Trident, and ROSCO Diagnostic Tablets. tested on a set 47 strains from genus Pseudomonas, emphasis upon yellow-pigmented species. overall accuracy was 97% API, 19% BIOTEST 68% system. system thus reliable, it presented no major practical problems. very handy. main reason low an error in code book. ONPG reaction depicted negative species P. paucimobilis. A positive test is keymark this 76% paucimobilis included investigation also found tablets are convenient if result single reactions desired. time consumption per strain 5.4, 4.4, 6.2 min BIOTEST, respectively.
