摘要: An efficient broadband sum-frequency generation (SFG) technique using the two cascaded optical parametric processes ω3 = ω1 + ω2 and ω4 is proposed. The uses chirped quasi-phase-matched gratings, which, in undepleted pump approximation, make SFG analogous to adiabatic population transfer three-state systems with crossing energies quantum physics. If local modulation period first makes phase match occur for then forω4 energy converted adiabatically field. Efficient of field also possible by opposite direction sweep; transient strongly reduced. Most these features remain valid nonlinear regime depleted pump.
