摘要: Abstract The preceramic mixtures appropriate to the composition of cordierite are composed talc, kaolinite and vermiculite (Ver), and/or organovermiculite (Ver-org) as a pore-forming agent. for sintering at 1300 °C were prepared in two different ways, loosely crucibles compressed into pellets. Structural characterization cordierite/steatite ceramic was performed using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy analysis porosity measurement. samples showed (1) bimodal meso-macropore size distribution unimodal macropore distribution, when included Ver Ver-org, respectively, (2) higher occurred comparison with XRD patterns quantitative phase revealed ceramics indialite (IND) orthorhombic forms enstatite: protoenstatite (PEN) orthoenstatite (OREN). All contained greater amount PEN than OREN slightly quantity IND sintered compare from twice Ver-org high (91 vol%), (about 9 vol%) no OREN. unit cell parameter c pure about 0.001–0.003 nm shorter all INDs. supports structural substitution cations during crystallization Ca 0.50 Mg 1.50 –Ca 0.25 1.75 . IR spectra 400–1600 cm −1 region confirmed presence steatite.
