摘要: A method for solving the problem of combined spin-orbit and Jahn-Teller coupling is introduced in case an electronic triplet state coupled to a vibration e mode cubic symmetry. In this approach simple recursion relation systematically provides basis functions which are very useful reducing size Hamiltonian matrix be diagonalized numerically. As example application, level splitting optical intensity zero-phonon line have been calculated 4 2 → T transition V 2+ ion KMgF 3 , good agreement with experiment has found.
