摘要: Background Although several large series have reported on EUS-guided transgastric and transduodenal drainage of peripancreatic fluid collections (PFCs), only commentary individual cases has been presented transesophageal PFCs. Objective To evaluate the technical success safety Design Observational study. Setting Tertiary academic referral center. Patients This study involved 3 consecutive patients referred for PFCs over a 3-year period. Interventions The were accessed via route under EUS-guidance by using 19-gauge needle. After 0.035-inch guidewire was passed into PFC, transmural tract dilated to 6 mm, stent and/or catheter deployed. Main Outcome Measurements Evaluation treatment profile Results Three male (mean age 57.8 years [range 49-75 years]) underwent (2 pseudocyst, 1 abscess) etiology PFC alcohol abuse in 2 postsurgical 1. mean size 7 cm (range 6-8 cm) its largest dimension. procedures technically successful all patients, no complications encountered. All had outcome. At follow-up period 24 months 12-36 months), doing well, without any evidence recurrence. Limitation Small number patients. Conclusions In experienced hands, is feasible safe associated with favorable clinical outcomes. A long-term larger numbers required determine whether procedure could be an effective alternative surgical cyst-enterostomy or percutaneous techniques.
