摘要: Three types of human leishmaniases are known to occur in Kenya: visceral leishmaniasis, caused by Leishmania donovani, and cutaneous leishmaniasis L. aethiopica major. Visceral is the most important three eastern Africa, not only because it fatal but also several epidemics have occurred periodically since disease appeared country about 40 years ago resulting many deaths. major chiefly zoonotic people contract when they wander into areas containing animal reservoirs infected vectors. Control measures were undertaken against vectors during an epidemic outbreak kala-azar Machakos District.
