摘要: Abstract Author co-citation analysis (ACA) has long been used as an effective method for identifying the intellectual structure of a research domain, but it relies on simple counting, which does not take citation content into consideration. The present study proposes new measuring similarity between co-cited authors by considering author's content. We collected full-text journal articles in information science domain and extracted citing sentences to calculate their distances. compared our with traditional ACA found out that approach, while displaying similar other baseline methods, also provides more details about sub-disciplines than ACA.
