摘要: Several authors have measured the detection ability of human observers for objects in correlated (nonwhite) noise. These studies shown that observer has approximately constant efficiency when compared with a nonprewhitening ideal observer. In this paper we add frequency-selective mechanism to ideal-observer model, similar channel been demonstrated through experiments measure subject’s detect grating stimuli. For number and discrimination tasks, model channelized yield performance predictions. Thus both models seem equally capable explaining considerable body psychophysical data, it would be difficult devise an experiment determine which is more nearly correct.
