摘要: Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a highly contagious vesicular that caused by the FMD virus (FMDV). This affects both wild and domestic cloven-hoofed animals, latter of which includes cattle, swine, sheep goats. endemic to Jordan has severe impact on productivity livestock. In January 2017, outbreaks were detected in different animal species across Jordan, resulting high mortality rates among young lamb goat populations as well causing classic symptoms cattle. this study, clinical specimens collected from animals affected FMD. The results obtained sequencing VP1 gene place studied FMDV isolate within O/ME-SA/ Ind2001e sublineage. Phylogenetic analysis suggests O/JOR/1/2017 very similar viruses isolated Saudi Arabia 2016. possible introduction strain might occur through transboundary movement or other transmission routes Arabia, neighbouring country.
