摘要: The role of area 7 m has been studied by recording the activity single neurons monkeys trained to fixate and reach toward peripheral targets. target was randomly selected from eight possible locations on a virtual circle, radius 30 degrees visual angle central target. Three tasks were employed dissociate hand- eye-related contributions. In first task, animals looked reached second animal while maintaining fixation third monkey maintained targets that spatially coincident with those reaching tasks. results show cell in relates, for some cells eye position, others hand position movement, majority combination visuomanual oculomotor information. This area, therefore, seems perform an early information processing leading localization movement generation.
