摘要: The potential application of the laser induced linear surface photoelectric effect for high current and small divergence electron beam formation is examined. temporal evolution pulses angular distribution photoelectrons produced following KrF irradiation a gold studied as function intensity. A threshold intensity (140±20) MW/cm2 was determined, below which single photon photoeffect dominates any thermionic emission process. Electron measurements vertical horizontal polarization incident radiation showed that contribution from about three times larger than volume photoeffect. Under these conditions, an electrons 17°±2° determined. estimated normalized transverse emittance 20π mm mrad.
