摘要: Abstract This article looks at the ideological view of writing in L1 composition and attempts to answer question why a similar has not been propounded ESL writing. The claim is that difference can be attributed to: 1) different affiliations L2 composition, is, with literature applied linguistics, 2) scientific model for research, 3) ESL's primarily pragmatic aims, 4) conservatizing effect EFL. concludes by considering whether might move direction developing perspective.
