摘要: The Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) is still an exciting period of time for investigating ecosystem responses to climate changes since it corresponds a steady state in glacial world with maximum global expansion ice-sheets, CO2 concentrations half those today, temperatures up 5°C cooler the tropical lowlands, and precipitation regimes differed from today. South America ideal place study these climatic conditions during LGM remain matter debate. There general agreement that temperature was than but there no consensus about moisture conditions, especially over latitudes. This paper reviews terrestrial near-shore marine records between 10°N 50°S LGM. Records are selected their chronological control, continuity around regional representativeness.
