摘要: Disclosed are compositions and methods involving the use of PRG4 protein, also known as lubricin, to mechanically inhibit biological processes cell motility adhesion. The may be used develop a variety specific therapies compositions, often exploited through surgical procedures, where development pathology involves one or more following modes action: 1) passage cells from body compartment another, 2) adherence macrophages substrates such fibrin exposed extra cellular matrix, 3) binding platelets fibrin, 4) failure function glycocalyx on epithelial surfaces, e.g., within vasculature. In these instances glycoprotein adheres extracellular matrix surfaces presents glycol-surface polysaccharide which blocks mechanisms motility, extravasation, intravasation, inhibits sticking platelets, and/or serves substitute mimic native glycocalyx.
