摘要: Today's cloud network platforms allow tenants to construct sophisticated virtual topologies among their VMs on a shared physical infrastructure. However, these provide little support for diagnose problems in networks. Network virtualization hides the underlying infrastructure from as well prevents deploying existing diagnosis tools. This paper makes case providing service cloud. We identify set of technical challenges such and propose Virtual Diagnosis (VND) framework. VND exposes abstract configuration query interfaces troubleshoot It controls software switches collect flow traces, distributes traces storage, executes distributed queries different diagnosis. reduces data collection processing overhead by performing local capture on-demand execution. Our experiments validate VND's functionality shows its feasibility terms quick response acceptable overhead; our simulation proves architecture scales size real center network.
