摘要: A systematic review of multifactorial assessment and management interventions to prevent functional decline in older adults was undertaken for the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. It not possible determine net benefit because heterogeneity studies, including how were selected their risk decline; broad spectrum nature evaluated; suboptimal inconsistent use outcomes measured; inadequate reporting data that might allow comparison populations, interventions, between studies. This process illustrated complexities encountered when synthesizing interpreting evidence geriatric research methods reviewing complex multiple interrelated health outcomes. article summarizes findings, focusing on methodological challenges, offers suggestions researchers design, reporting, analysis trials would help address these challenges better interpretation future.
