摘要: Optical trapping is an established field for movement of micron-size objects and cells. However, metal nanoparticles, nanowires, nanorods molecules has received little attention. Nanoparticles are more challenging to optically trap they offer ample new phenomena explore, example the plasmon resonance. Resonance size effects have impact upon forces that causes nanoparticle differ from micromanipulation larger micron-sized objects. There numerous theoretical approaches calculate optical exerted on trapped nanoparticles. Their combination comparison gives reader deeper understanding physical processes in trap. A close look into key experiments date demonstrates feasibility provides a grasp enormous possibilities remain be explored. When constructing single-beam trap, particular emphasis placed choice imaging confinement
