Kyanite-bearing eclogite from the Leaota Mountains (South Carpathians, Romania): mineral associations and metamorphic evolution

摘要: A kyanite-bearing eclogite from the pre-Alpine basement of Southern Carpathians (Leaota Mountains, Romania) shows a complete prograde metamorphic evolution, reaching pressures in excess 20 kbar, followed by retrograde path with decreasing pressure and temperature. It brings new evidence that this constitutes continental collision belt, probably Variscan age.
