摘要: Glucose disposal, insulin secretion, and action in adipose tissue were measured rats treated for 10 or 30 days with high doses of thyroxine (T4). Acutely induced hyperthyroidism produced a rate glucose disposal after an intravenous tolerance test (IVGTT), accompanied by glucose-stimulated secretion. In addition, these the following phenomena observed: (1) binding to isolated adipocytes due increase receptor number; (2) partially purified fat receptors; (3) normal tyrosine kinase activity (4) adipocytes, such as transport lipogenesis. Chronically rates IVGTT, basal These showed either adipocytes. conclusion, exogenous probably part short-term T4-treated additional was also observed.
