摘要: A resuscitation is a complicated event that requires for its optimal outcome the effective completion of distinct series actions, some simple, complex, most occurring simultaneously or in close proximity. In children, these actions are determined not only by clinical situation, but also age and size factors particular to each child. Different tasks require different levels cognitive load, mental effort. Cognitive load describes burden experienced decision maker will be higher when task less familiar more demanding. setting resuscitation, it refers cumulative demands patient assessment, ongoing decisions various steps, around procedural intervention (e.g., intubation). level complexity and, hence, increased unique component variability pediatric size, introducing logistical factors, many which involve computations.
