摘要: Residues from industrial processes and waste management systems (WMSs) have been increasingly reutilised, leading to landfilling rate reductions the optimisation of mineral resource utilisation in society. Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a holistic methodology allowing for analysis products can be applied identify environmental benefits critical aspects thereof. From an LCA perspective, residue provides such as avoiding production depletion primary materials, but it lead burdens, due potential leaching toxic substances. In studies where included, has generally neglected. this study, municipal solid incineration bottom ash (MSWI BA) was used case study into three scenarios having different system boundaries. The importance data quality parameter selection overall results evaluated, innovative method assess metal transport environment applied, order determine emissions soil water compartments use LCA. It found that impacts result were dominant including only MSWI BA utilisation, while appeared negligible larger entire system. However, could not disregarded priori, large uncertainties characterising other activities scenario (e.g. electricity production). Based on relevant parameters relative leaching, general recommendations are provided regarding studies.
