摘要: The availability and sustainability of suitable good quality drinking water is a global concern. Such uncertainties threaten livestock production with an attendant ripple effect on food security. Small ruminants, including sheep goats, appear to be promising smallholder farmers in solving this problem because their ability survive water-limited areas harsh environment when compared large ruminants. Their small body size also seen as advantage, less will required for proper digestion feed utilization. Therefore, review provide information regarding the adaptive responses ruminants thermoregulation, blood metabolites, immune status, drug pharmacokinetics, reproduction hormonal indices during period stress. Adaptable indigenous breeds are known more tolerant stress than selected breeds. A drop intake weight reduced respiratory rate increased concentration metabolites general effects and/or observations that encountered by concept tolerance either deprivation restriction adaptable gaining ground research studies around world. However, research, however, seeking explore capacity especially arid limiting still needed.
