摘要: Thirteen patients with tuberculous pericarditis (12 men and 1 woman aged 13 to 70 years [mean 41]) were identified in a group of 294 consecutively admitted for primary acute pericardial disease. The diagnosis was made by the following studies: sputum culture (n = 4), fluid obtained pericardiocentesis 3), histologic study biopsy lymph node 2) pleural 1). Clinical presentation remarkably variable: four had an acute, apparently self-limited course, one relapsing tamponade, tamponade effectively treated toxic symptoms persistent fever. interval from hospital admission ranged 14 weeks (mean 5.2). Constrictive developed six effusive-constrictive one; all seven required pericardiectomy 2 3.5 months after admission. No patient died. It is concluded that 1) has variable clinical therefore it should be considered evaluation instances without rapidly course; based only on objective data systematic protocol; 3) early definitive still difficult achieve; 4) development subacute constrictive requiring common.
