摘要: Suicidal behaviour poses a major challenge to clinicians and health policy makers due its difficult prediction prevention, substantial impact at individual societal levels. Although current research focuses particularly on the biological causes of suicidal behaviour, surprisingly little use has been made structural functional neuroimaging in order increase our understanding brain. This chapter reviews few available studies that have utilized neuroimaging, including brain perfusion receptor ligand studies. The results these contributed development concept. is thought be composed frontotemporal cortex (in connection with hippocampus) prefrontal conjunction amygdala). These structures appear involved social cognitive behavioural expressive components Evidence increasingly showing, among others using techniques, two are neurobiologically mediated basic neuropsychological dysfunctions associated behaviour.
