摘要: Hippocampal cholinergic neurostimulating peptide (HCNP) regulates acetylcholine synthesis in the septal hippocampus through quantitative increase of choline acetyltransferase levels nucleus both vitro and vivo. Additionally, HCNP-precursor protein transgenic (HCNP-pp Tg) mice display depressive behavior. To examine physiological function HCNP and/or HCNP-pp on hippocampal neural activity, we investigated whether overexpression strengthened efficiency activity hippocampus. Long-term potentiation (LTP) excitatory synaptic transmission was induced by a tetanic stimulation Schaffer collateral-commissural fibers (SCs) mouse slices. LTP Tg significantly enhanced when compared with wild-type littermate (WT) mice. This facilitation blocked atropine or pirenzepine, but not mecamylamine. In contrast, WT affected atropine, carbachol. However, neither difference input-output relationship field postsynaptic potentials nor ratio paired-pulse SCs observed between mice, indicating that presynaptic glutamate release is similar to These results suggest muscarinic (M1) modulation glutamatergic may be involved strengthening
