摘要: To develop a species recognition system for resettable trap using novel identification techniques. Classical Eigenface based techniques are widely used in human faced detection domain. In this research Eigen technique is to identify the feral animals like Possums, cat and Weasels. When traditional applied detect these animal, rate extremely poor (Possums 55%, Cats 33% weasels 45%), due their orientation of heads fur patterns. research, image technique's was improved by adding different training sets system. Traditional domain one set used, but it discovered single not adequate small animal. This because smaller possums, cats tend have color group, texture hard obtain face up images. Therefore decided divide into sub groups. train search match. method 83% possum, 50% 63% weasels. General Terms Euclidean distance, recognition, animal
