摘要: This paper presents an experimental study on the dry facing of pieces UNS M11917 magnesium. The work was focused repair operations that are typically carried out with low-performance cutting conditions. main goal this to determine tool best suits requirements surface roughness for these operations. tools considered had same geometry but different coatings and were selected from among most commonly used magnesium hybrid structures formed by other materials. effects spindle speed feed rate also which factors their possible interactions more crucial. tests conducted following Taguchi orthogonal design experiments (DOE), results analysed analysis variance (ANOVA) method.
