摘要: Abstract One of the most widely used measurements to assess apple [ Malus sylvestris (L.) Mill var. domestica (Borkh.) Mansf.] maturity is starch pattern index (SPI), but relatively little known about changes in its relationship with concentration fruit during maturation and ripening. Relationships between SPI concentrations ‘Gala’, ‘Honeycrisp’, ‘McIntosh’, ‘Empire’ harvested over several weeks have been investigated. While values increased decreased sampling period, two factors was curvilinear for all cultivars. The binding capacity iodine determined by composition consequently amylose (AM) concentration. Therefore, AM total were assessed evaluate whether account discrepancies Low levels at later stages development part discrepancy concentration, due low staining potential remaining (amylopectin (AP)). Evaluation also carried out calculation percentage stained area means image analysis; % linear cultivars different degrees depending on cultivar. Computational analysis images has be more consistent, interpretation number assigned still relies heavily a general understanding maturation. Understanding cultivar specific differences patterns influential ripening can lead an overall better as harvest index.
