摘要: Abstract This study extends the Marshallian demand framework to investigate effects of TI (technological innovation) on energy use in Malaysia. extended theoretical frameworks predicts that TI, an exogenous element function, increases efficiency and, correspondingly, reduces consumption at a given level economic output. Using ARDL (autoregressive distributed lag) bounds testing approach for sample period 1985–2012, this confirms both short- and log-run predictions. However, controlling effect finds increasing GDP per capita trade openness produce rebound use.
