摘要: Studies that apply indigenous ecological knowledge to contemporary resource management problems are increasing globally; however, few of these studies have contributed environmental water management. We interviewed three landowning groups in a tropical Australian catchment subject development pressure and trialed tools integrate scientific the biology ecology freshwater fish assess their requirements. The differences, similarities, complementarities between held by people scientists discussed context changing socioeconomic circumstances experienced communities north Australia. In addition eliciting confirmed field survey results, approach generated was new both science participants, respectively. Indigenous influenced (1) conceptual models developed understand flow (2) structure risk assessment designed vulnerability particular low-flow scenarios.
