摘要: Although the need for rehabilitation services cancer patients has been known decades, many individuals with still do not receive appropriate therapies during course of their care. This become particularly important survivors childhood cancer. As improvements have made in treatment and mortality rates are decreasing, there more living long term or “late effects” its treatments. Late effects often impact central nervous system can skills such as mobility, activities daily living, general physical activity, swallowing, speech production, cognitive functioning. The focus this chapter will be on introducing population, a review some common issues that speech-language functioning, tips when professionals may consider referral physical, occupational, therapies.
