摘要: As more data are generated from proteome and transcriptome analyses of snake venoms, we gaining an appreciation the complexity venoms and, to some degree, various sources such complexity. However, our knowledge is still far complete. The translation genetic information genome ultimately only beginning be appreciated, will require significantly investigation venom genomic structure prior a complete understanding genesis composition. Venom complexity, however, derived not but also generation perhaps most importantly, post-translation modification nascent proteome. In this review, examine metalloproteinases, predominant components in viperid with regard possible synthesis post-translational mechanisms that contribute aim review highlight state on metalloproteinase processing suggest testable hypotheses regarding cellular associated venoms.
