摘要: Cell lineage is the framework for understanding cellular diversity, stability of differentiation, and its relationship to pluripotency. The special condition in utero development mammals has presented challenges developmental biologists tracing cell lineages but modern imaging marking techniques have allowed gradual elucidation relationships. Early experimental embryology approaches had limited resolution relied suboptimal markers considerable disturbance embryos. Transgenic technology introduced genetic markers, particularly fluorescent proteins that, combined with sophisticated modalities, greatly increase allow clonal analysis within lineages. concept also undergone evolution as it became possible trace cells based not only on their physical location or attributes gene expression pattern, thus opening up mechanistic lines investigation into determinants lineage.
