摘要: Abstract Using molecular-beam and mass-spectrometric methods, the comparative desorption of potassium as K atoms excited-state (K2*) species was studied from two commercial iron oxide catalysts (A B, which latter known to be superior) for styrene process. The B only observed at temperatures considerably higher than that A. measured activation energy values emission are: (a) atoms, 1.0 eV (96 kJ/mol) 3.1 (300 A resp.; (b) K2* species, 1.7 (160 0.84 (81 resp. temperature ranges where these are (A) 830-920 K, (B) 970-1090 810-1060 910-1060 K. lower barrier excited state may perhaps responsible better more stable performance this catalyst in states here believed formed also under normal operating conditions on surfaces.
