摘要: NiAl intermetallic compounds attract increasing attention for high-temperature applications due to their combination of excellent properties, especially as metallic protective coatings on superalloys or bond coats in thermal barrier (TBCs). Oxidation behaviour the β-NiAlHf prepared by electron beam physical vapour deposition (EB-PVD) was investigated at 1100 °C short time and 100 h 20 % O2 + Ar 15 % H2O + Ar, respectively. The results mass changes reveal that addition minor reactive element Hf significantly improves cyclic oxidation resistance β-NiAl both dry humid atmospheres. During initial stage, water retards phase transformation from θ-Al2O3 α-Al2O3. Moreover, compared with case atmosphere, reduces surface roughness oxide scales formed EB-PVD after oxidation, which corresponds difference morphologies scales.
