摘要: Abstract Environmental monitoring and risk assessment approaches which include a more holistic view on the effects of pollutants biota are increasingly sought by regulators policy makers. Therefore, caged carp juveniles (Cyprinus carpio) were transplanted for 7 weeks along known Cd Zn pollution gradient. Metal (Cu, Zn) accumulation in gill liver tissue effect biomarkers (growth, condition factor (CF), hepatosomatic index (HSI), oxygen consumption, swimming capacity, Na+/K+-ATPase activity (NKA) metallothionein (MT) levels) compared. Up to 10-fold higher cadmium concentrations measured gills fish at most polluted locations compared laboratory control fish. Similarly, tissues field-exposed significantly than those Cu not different between organisms, whereas levels carps deployed some locations. Effects MT up 10 times greater organisms exposed field, no clear metal exposure NKA was observed. A decrease muscle glycogen stores observed all while decreased only two 5 sites Additionally, significant drops protein- lipid No consumption rates capacity The CF HSI reflected gradient river considerable loss weight site. Overall, this active biomonitoring study successfully revealed differences accumulation, physiological organismal endpoints as direct consequence field exposure.
