摘要: Collisions with chemically inert atoms or molecules change the hyperfine coupling of an alkali-metal atom through hyperfine-shift interaction. This interaction is responsible for pressure shifts microwave resonances in buffer gases, important spin alkali-metal--noble-gas van der Waals molecules, and anticipated to enable magnetoassociation ultracold such as RbSr. An improved estimate presented long-range asymptote this Na, K, Rb, Cs. To test results, due a static electric field estimated reasonable agreement found.
